Virtustream, an EMC company that offers cloud solutions, says it is in talks with several system integrators that are looking to build a cloud dedicated to the Indian government.
The company, whose government cloud product is used by the US Department of Interior, meets the standards prescribed by the US government for the use of cloud.
"Some of our partners are talking to us about building a cloud for the Indian government or clouds dedicated to specific Indian government departments," Michael Hoch, senior VP - Global SI Alliances at Virtustream, told ET at EMC World.
The Indian government has big digital plans and projects on improving tax collection through the use of analytics would require a large, secure cloud environment.
