#Fundingwire: Lendingkart Raises $20M in Equity Round Led by Bertelsmann & More


Online working capital provider platform Lendingkart, India’s leading digital lending platform for SMEs has raised INR USD 32M in new financing; out of which USD 20m was raised as equity and USD 12m as debt. This Series B round was led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), with participation from Darrin Capital Management and existing investors – Mayfield India, Saama Capital and India Quotient.

FabHotels, a tech-enabled hospitality start-up formed by former Rocket Internet executives, has raised $8 million in a series A round of funding from Accel Partners and RB Investments, co-founder Vaibhav Aggarwal said. Mohandas Pai’s Aarin Capital and Qualcomm Ventures also participated in the funding round.

FabHotels was started in 2014 by Vaibhav Aggarwal and Adarsh Manpuria, FabHotels is essentially a branded budget hotel aggregator, but one which claims to be going beyond aggregation and delivering a wholesome hospitality experience to hotel guests. Read More

Bengaluru-based self-publishing e-platform Pratilipi has raised about $925,000 in seed funding from Nexus Venture Partners and other angel investors. Founded in March, 2015, Pratilipi is owned and operated by Nasadiya Technologies Pvt. Online ticket booking platform Travelyaari which is run by Mantis Technologies Pvt Ltd, has raised $3 million in a bridge round of funding led by existing investor GVFL Ltd. Bangalore-headquartered Travelyaari competes with the likes of redBus.in, Paytm and Abhibus.com.
