Fundingwire: MobiKwik Raises Series C; Healthcare App Prescribez Bags $145k and More

Gurgaon-based MobiKwik  raises series C round of funding, led by Japan’s GMO payment gateway and Taiwanese semiconductor company MediaTek. The existing investors such as Sequoia Capital and Treeline Asia have also participated in the current round.

The company will use the capital for rapid product innovation, ramping up the team and user growth.

Prescribez, a healthcare app which is soon-to-be-launched, has raised $145K seed funding from angel investor Ankush Mehta.

The app which has been developed by Pune-based ThingsMeet Solutions, is scheduled to be launched this month. ThingsMeet Solutions was founded by former Infosys employees Neeraj Joshi, Manish Bandil and Cherag Mehta and Jayant Kaduskar. “We are looking to aggregate labs and start doctor consultation through Prescribez itself,” said Joshi, co-founder and chief executive at Prescribez.

The raised funds will be deployed for product development and marketing, besides expanding to Mumbai in the next six months.

Delhi-based parking solutions provider Agile Parking Solutions has raised a fund of $376k from Chennai Angels. Agile Parking Solutions, known by the brand name Get My Parking, is the brainchild of IIT Madras alumnus Chirag Jain and FMS Delhi alumnus Rasik Pansare. The startup aims to solve the chronic parking problems with the help of technology. It has created a cloud-based mobile parking technology, making real-time parking information accessible for both supply and demand side. Read more.
