Delhi based, augmented reality driven edtech startup Smartivity has raised $1 million in pre-series A round from publishing firm S Chand, early-stage investment firm AdvantEdge Partners, Singapore-based fund CFG Offshore Holdings, Silicon Valley based Tandem Capital and a group of angel investors.
Smartivity was started by three-IIT Delhi alumni Ashwini Kumar, Apoorva Gupta, Rajat Jain along with Tushar A Amin. It had raised $200,000 in seed round from S Chand in 2015. Read More
Yet to be launched mobile app startup ‘Speeds’ has raised angel funding from Rajasthan Angel Investor Network(RAIN). The deal was closed in March this year, and the exact investment amount hasn’t been revealed yet.
Speeds has been created by Delhi-based ALBJ Technology Ventures Pvt Ltd. The app will help reduce mobile data costs for the consumers by upto 70%. It was founded in 2014 by Nitin Saxena, Parthasarathy Ramanujam and Hemant Kumar. Read More
Online furniture marketplace BedBathMore has raised an undisclosed amount of investment from Swedish bank AB Kinnevik Group, Rocket Internet and a few investors of previously Rocket Internet backed FabFurnish, which was acquired by Future Group earlier this year.
Besides furniture, the company is also entering into a B2B listing space by aggregating service providers in the interiors space, including paint companies, designers, architects etc. ET reports that it intends to make lead generation for companies as a major source of revenue. Read More
