Cloud-based Restaurant Operations Management Startup TabSquare Bags $2.75 M in Series A
TabSquare, a portfolio company of Calcutta Angels Network (CAN) and a startup that offers cloud-based operations management and customer engagement platform for the Food and Beverage (F and B) industry, raised $2.75 million in its Series A round of funding. The startup is focused on solving the critical pain points that are core to a restaurant’s profitability.
The startup has founded by three INSEAD graduates, Anshul Gupta, Chirag Tejuja and Sankaran Sreeraman. It has three main offerings – TabSquare SmartTab, a customized tablet menu on which customers can view dishes, get recommendations, place orders, redeem promotions and even pay their bills, without waiting for the waiter; TabSquare SmartApp allows the restaurant to build their business beyond the physical store; and TabSquare Nucleus, the cloud-based data warehouse and analytics engine, allows restaurant owners to update the menu on-the-fly as well as provide data analytics to understand consumer behavior and spending patterns. Online Fashion Discovery Platform Hoppingo Bags $89K from vCommission
Delhi-based Survar Media Pvt. Ltd, which runs online fashion discovery platform Hoppingo, has raised $89K in its second round of funding from Gurgaon-based vCommission.
Founded by Swati Gauba and Mayur Sethi, the platform curates more than 800 eStores across nearly 20 categories, including accessories, apparel and home décor. “On an average, we are involved in 5,000 transactions per month. By October, we hope to achieve 10,000 transactions,” Gauba said. Read more.
